IONNA is a synth-driven electronic music project
Created by Soraya Silene, a singer-songwriter, and producer, out of Richmond, Va. When you listen to IONNA, you can hear the influences of Kate Bush, The Cure, and St.Vincent. IONNA’s driving melodies move between being danceable and other times, ambient, calling the listener to the universal and collective. IONNA is narrative-driven, based initially on a fantasized character and a comic sketch.

Tiger
“Tiger” pushes the boundaries of her digital oeuvre further into stylized expressionism. The piece encourages visions of neo-Pagan rituals and has a darker, threatening tone as a counterpoint to her windy, lonesome nostalgia in her other work.
